Stay at Historic Duntryleague
The historic Duntryleague guesthouse is situated in the botanical gardens setting of the Duntryleague's prestigious 18 hole championship golf course. Built in 1876 for local businessman James Dalton, the building now offers 14 accommodation rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Accommodation in this 19th century mansion is in four categories, from original master suites (Mansion rooms) to smaller guest suites (Standard rooms). All rooms are non-smoking rooms, and many are multi-bedded and suit the needs of families and groups. We also have rollaway beds and cots available on request. All room rates (except for Margaret Lodge) include continental breakfast, although a cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge.
All guest rooms have been upgraded with new bedding and modernised furniture, some including work desks. As well as ensuites, guestrooms also have a television, small refridgerator, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Painting and refurbishing of the guest rooms has started taking place.
Unfortunately, due to being heritage listed and the historic nature of Duntryleague, there is NO disabled access to the guesthouse. (This excludes Margaret Lodge which is on the ground floor adjacent to the main guesthouse). All other guestrooms involve climbing stairs, as we are not permitted to install an elevator. Please also be mindful that as we are an older building, there may be the occasional creaky step or floorboard, but this is all apart of Duntryleague's charm!
Duntryleague has also just finished renovating Margaret Dalton Lodge, a fully self-contained three bedroom flat, which is perfect for couples, groups and families.
Margaret Dalton Lodge & Rowan Cottage
Two newly renovated ground floor three bedroom flats. Each room has a king size bed, which can be made into king singles if required. The flats have disabled access, and are fully self-contained with a lounge and dining area, bathroom, kitchen, and small outdoor area with a BBQ. Breakfast is not included with the tariff, but the continental buffet and hot breakfasts can be purchased in the Duntryleague Mansion guesthouse, just one minute's walk away.
Our two mansion rooms, originally the principle rooms of the mansion when first constructed, offer a truly unique experience. Each room is incredibly spacious and boasts huge ceilings and a king size bed, as well as access to the wraparound balcony that looks onto the golfcourse. One of these rooms also offers additional two king single beds, perfect for a family.
Our deluxe suites are modern rooms that offer king or queen size beds and lovely views. Some deluxe rooms also have access to the wraparound balcony that look out onto our championship golf course.
Our heritage suites offer traditional 1800's styled rooms. They have a variety of configurations and styles, and are ideal for families or groups. Each room is very spacious, and offers a king size bed, with one or two king single beds.
Our standard rooms are smaller, but very cosy. Each room offers either a queen or double size bed, and are great for couples or singles.
